Before joining Team USA, Ted served as a Light Attack Helicopter Pilot in the United States Marine Corps. From November 2012 to May 2013, he deployed to the volatile Helmand Province of Afghanistan and flew combat missions in support Operation Enduring Freedom. Ted and his wife, Sarah, have a young daughter named Caroline and live in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
