High School All-America Program 2020-2021

USA Pentathlon is proud to recognize outstanding pentathlon student athletes with the High School All-America program. Athletes must achieve both a minimum academic standard and athletic results at the national or international level to be considered for this honor.

 

Athletes can receive All-American honors through the Automatic All-America or Consideration All-America levels of accomplishment. Athletes must submit the application form (available here) and a copy of their 2020-2021 High School Academic transcript by the program deadline to be eligible.

 

2020-2021

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

·       Grade Completion Requirement

o   Applicant must have completed 9th, 10th 11th or 12th grade by August 2021.

 

·       Academic/GPA Requirement

o   Automatic All-American - minimum 3.75 GPA out of a 4.0 scale for the 2020-2021 academic year or for their cumulative high school GPA

o   Consideration All-American - minimum 3.5 GPA out of a 4.0 scale for the 2020-2021 academic year or for their high school cumulative GPA

o   A=4, B=3, C=2. If numerical grades are used, the following scale will be used unless the school’s letter grade conversion is given on the transcript: A=90-100; B=80-89; C=70-79.

 

·       Athletic Requirements

o   Automatic All-American Applicants must have represented the United States as a member of a Senior, Junior or Youth World Championship Team.

o   Consideration All-American applicants must have represented the United States as a member of World Cup Team, or finished in the top 50% of the US National Championships, Pan American Championships or other international competition

o   Qualifying period (June 1, 2019 – August 30, 2021)
