After months of early mornings, winter training sessions, and countless hours sharpening your skills, it’s time to put that hard work to the test. USA Pentathlon Multisport is excited to invite athletes, coaches, and families to the 2026 USAPM Charlotte Invitational on March 21st in Charlotte, North Carolina—our first major competition of the season and the perfect stage to kick off your year of racing.

Join athletes from across the country as they come together to compete, reconnect, and celebrate the start of a new season. Whether you’re stepping onto the start line to chase a personal best, evaluating early-season progress, or cheering from the sidelines, the Charlotte Invitational promises high energy, great competition, and the excitement that only the return of race season can bring.

  • Competition Rules

    Fencing: Up to 5, grounded pistes

    Swimming: 25y indoor (times will be converted), NO Starting Blocks

    Obstacle: 2 lane, UIPM official course

    Running Course: Turf field

    Laser Run: Up to 13 + 2 reserves, warm up targets, 100% turf, NO spikes allowed

    Swim:

    U11, U9: 50m

    U15, U13: 100m

    S/J/Y19/Y17: 100m

    Masters: 100m

    Laser Run:

    U11, U9: 2 x 300, 2 shoots, 5m

    U13: 3 x 300, 3 shoots, 5m

    U15: 3 x 600, 3 shoots, 5m 

    U17: 4 x 600, 4 shoots, 10m 

    S/J/U19: 5 x 600. 4 shoots, 10m

    Masters 50+: 3 x 600, 3 shoots, 10m

    Master 60+: 2 x 600, 2 shoots, 5m

Athlete Check-in  

Will be done at the first event, Swimming. Please arrive at 7:30 a.m. to check in.

Memberships  

All USAPM event registrations include an Event Day License for the duration of the event. To be rostered on any Team USA event or to be ranked, you must be a yearly member of USA Pentathlon Multisport and in good standing. To find out more visit: USA Pentathlon Multisport Memberships.
