2026 NMMI Open Championships

Registration is now open for the 2026 NMMI Open Championships, scheduled for April 18, 2026, at New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico. Athletes can now secure their place in this regional competition, which will bring together pentathletes from across the country for a full day of competition.

The competition will follow the standard modern pentathlon format, including fencing, swimming, an obstacle course, and the laser run. Events will be held across the NMMI campus, with fencing and swimming at the Godfrey Athletic Center and the obstacle course and laser run at Stapp Parade Field. Competition begins at 8:00 a.m., with athletes rotating through the events according to the day’s running schedule.

Divisions include Senior, Junior, and all Youth categories, with distances and formats aligned with current age-group standards. Awards will be presented to the top three athletes in each division for both boys and girls at the conclusion of the competition. Athletes planning their spring competition schedule are encouraged to register early and join the field in Roswell for a competitive day at New Mexico Military Institute.
