Jessica Savner, a standout modern pentathlete and Olympian, has announced her retirement from the sport. The 32-year-old American athlete leaves behind a distinguished career, highlighted by a berth at the 2024 Paris Olympics, her appearances in two Pan American Games, and two U.S. National Championship titles.
Savner’s achievements on the international stage include a gold medal at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, where she delivered a dominant performance, and a bronze medal at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, where she showcased her consistency and resilience. Her qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics was a culmination of years of hard work, earning her a place among the sport’s elite.
Domestically, Savner cemented her legacy as a two-time U.S. National Champion, a testament to her dedication and skill across all five disciplines of modern pentathlon. Known for her poise in high-pressure situations, she was a fierce competitor and a true ambassador for the sport.
