    Personal
    Heidi was a 5 sport athlete in high school (swimming, basketball, soccer, volleyball, & softball) and went on to swim collegiality for the University of Texas and the University of Notre Dame. As a law student, she competed for Michigan State University’s triathlon team and continued to compete in triathlons and open water swimming events, including a 70.3 Ironman race and team relay events across Lake Tahoe and the English Channel. After seeing pentathlon in the 2016 Olympics, she wondered if she could learn to fence, ride a horse, and shoot a gun. In 2019, she competed in her first pentathlon and, later that year, competed at the 2019 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. In 2023, she competed in her first UIPM World Cup season and qualified for and competed at the 2023 Pan Am Games.
